Where do you find a good pastor?

Ask most pastors and they will tell you that one of the greatest influences to follow God's call into the pastoral ministry was the encouragement they received from the people in their congregation. Next week our congregation will participate in a Lutheran ChurchCanada initiative to identify men and women in our congregation whom God may be calling to be church workers. Look around today and see if there is someone you feel God may be calling to serve Him in full-time church work.

The opportunities for church workers are growing. Every year new pastors, teachers and directors of parish services find fulfilment in following God's call to serve Him.

However, there are currently approximately 40 parishes without pastors and many parishes are looking for additional church workers for specialized areas of ministry such as youth/young adult ministry and visitation.

God calls workers from among His own people, including the members of YOUR PARISH NAME HERE. Ask God who you can encourage to consider serving Him in full-time church work and be prepared to share that name next Sunday.
